The only thing better than taking a new dog home to your family is taking two new dogs home to your family, but this Argentinian man was caught by surprise when he found out that his two new poodles were actually ferrets on steroids.
The two ferrets were reportedly groomed and styled to have coats similar to poodles, much like people groom and style various breeds of chimps to have looks suitable for Jersey Shore.
This was not the only incident; in fact, another woman was duped when she found out that the Chihuahua she had purchased was also a ferret. The Daily Mail reports:
“A stark contrast to the sprawling wealth of some parts of Buenos Aires, La Salada is a collection of small and informal workers, distributors and entrepreneurs – some lucky enough to sell ferrets as dogs for $150.”
What a shame that people are taking advantage of the elderly. After all, it is incredibly difficult to differentiate between a rodent and a dog. With the right grooming, only trained eyes could tell that a ferret was not a real dog, in the same way that, despite the grooming, trained eyes can tell that Nicholas Cage is not an real actor.
